History
In 2019, after playing a round and downing a few Car Bombs on the 19th hole, a group of club members decided to put together a group that was primarily intended for entertainment with a little competition thrown in. They started kicking around the idea of starting their own events. Jim Dunn, Dan Vicini, Al Iftiger, Eric Overstreet, Joel Coviello, Rick Topper, and Jeff Lanini were the primary instigators. They decided to start playing at regular tee times on Wednesdays. That was the start of it all.
They also decided on an Irish theme because they liked the Irish's focus on drinking and golf, in that order. The name comes from a bastardization of the word shameless (which the original group had been referred to off and on - Shameless but not classless). Shameless is a TV show they did not want to be associated with. Seamless did not work either. They gave the word shameless a little Irish twist by throwing in the "e". It drives all the spell checkers and logo designers nuts.
The membership's average index is 12. All event handicaps are capped at 18.
Weekly Games
Weekly games in 2024 will be held on Wednesday afternoons. An invitation email, "The Bat Signal", is sent out to all members every Monday. To be added to the tee sheet, you need to RSVP to the invite. It is advisable to arrive at the first tee time for the Sheamless group as foursomes tend to get shuffled around. Each foursome will play a game of their choice. Drinks will be served afterward, as usual.
